Killarney Water Rescue is a registered charity and relies solely on the time and energy of volunteers to achieve our objectives.
Volunteers with KWR come from a whole range of backgrounds from Dive Masters to those who never sat into a boat before joining! KWR has opportunities for many different volunteers – land searchers, coxswains, divers, fundraisers, swift water rescue technicians, swimmers, kayakers etc.
The club has at least one training session a month where we run through the geography of the area, coxswain skills, diver coxswain skills, radio skills, ropework, towing, searching and swift water skills.
If you are interested in getting involved then please contact us as we host information meetings every now and again to go through various aspects of the club.
