Killarney Water Rescue is an entirely voluntary based service and operates 24/7, 365 days a year and supports other clubs and services such as Kerry Mountain Rescue, Irish Underwater Search and Recovery Council, National Parks and Wildlife Service, and the Irish Coast Guard.
We are also a declared resource of Kerry County Council and An Garda Siochana.
Volunteers with KWR come from a whole range of backgrounds from Dive Masters to those who never sat into a boat before joining! KWR has opportunities for many different volunteers – land searchers, coxswains, divers, fundraisers, swift water rescue technicians, swimmers, kayakers etc.
If you are interested in getting involved then please contact us as we host information meetings every now and again to go through various aspects of the club.
